Black Lives Matter, Brown Lives Matter

The optimism in my heart asks me to be hopeful and patient that we will be treated respectfully and fairly, some day.

The pessimism in my mind says racial oppression, subjugation, and injustice will continue even after all of the chaos we’re in right now. That’s how it’s always been.

I don’t know which one will win?
